Pip Farquharson is a professional copywriter and editor with vast communications experience across a variety of media and platforms.
She currently freelances for various advertising and communications agencies in Amsterdam on diverse assignments — whether that's work of a highly-bespoke nature for ING; writing fresh original copy for Bugaboo; penning a Facebook campaign for KLM; or writing creative copy for s[edition], who purvey exclusive limited edition digital art by, amongst others, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, Yoko Ono, Jenny Holzer and Shephard Fairey.
She is the author of Rotterdam (Thomas Cook Publishing) and has been employed as a consultant on travel programmes about Amsterdam for the BBC, MTV, Channel 4 and Lonely Planet.
She has also contributed extensively to travel publications including Time Out and Dorling & Kindersley, and written articles for Het Financieele Dagblad, The Globe & Mail and South China Morning Post. She still writes each month for Holland Herald, KLM's in-flight magazine.
She is also currently penning a travel guide to Amsterdam for National Geographic, due out in 2014.
